I watched a meeting for a few of the earlier call of responsibility annualized games

Many gamers don’t realize the quantity of console sales which take place is quite high just because of its particular purpose to perform one or two annualized franchises. For the person who buys two games annually such as Madden and NBA2K every year, $60×2 for your hours and hours of time put into these games, the value is super large. The populace of men and women who fall into that category are not on r/Games complaining about microtransactions and Mut 21 coins shit like this. They probably don’t even possess a reddit account. It’s not a knock on them, it is just the way things happen.

I watched a meeting for a few of the earlier call of responsibility annualized games (like modern warfare 3 or so), and also the developers basically said that ordinary players (the ones who play halo, killzone, battle along with other shooters) don’t buy call of duty games. The majority of people who play call of duty will only buy Cod and a sports game. And they’ll do this religiously every year. I have heard this subset known as Brogamers–kind of the antithesis to those that only play The Sims/Animal Crossing but in the end it’s a similar paying pattern. Totally agree with you and this interview from way back in the day (individual time is flying by). Bro have you played a Madden game recently? They are fucking terrible! Same engine as they utilized on PS3, yet the game somehow has less features and more bugs than it did 15 years back. It’s objectively a terribly created game.

The madden criticism which surfaced has nothing to do with your remark. Its a growing group of people who wish to play a fantastic football game, but Ea keeps selling them exactly the exact same game without upgrading the engine. This group wants the nfl to either give out several instances of likeness rights or offer them exclusively to a different firm that would hopefully make a much better match. Not surprising. That is why EA doesn’t need to bother ever enhancing anything in the majority of their modes or fixing any bugs which have been there for years. People will get it no matter whales will dump a lot of money into MUT. 2k has similar troubles and the microtransaction stuff is gross but in least that has great gameplay and high tier demonstration and they still add a little more effort. Sports game just have an entirely different demographics to games such as Witcher 3 and CIV.

If anything that shows you why they published a broken item. The people who buy don’t read/care what the web thinks. Disappointed in the sports community but frankly. . .where else could they go if this is their sole option? Most of the sports game fan don’t read reviews before they buy. A lot of them literally only play that sport for the whole year. It’s the Exact Same for FIFA. Imagine if Fromsoftware created a half-baked Souls game. The fans would still purchase it since it’s still a Souls match. Makes sense if you consider it that way. I mean, I just played New Super Mario Bros 2. It is like three hours and nothing about it’s distinctive from all the other New Super Mario Bros. games. Yet, I bought it, and therefore did not millions of other players.

Maximum Football 2020 releases after this month. It frankly compares to overdue Xbox/early 360 graphically but it actually has customization and depth unlike Madden. Honstely if your only real game in town it is not like anybody has a choice only I’m just glad madden didn’t need to stick around and cheap Madden 21 coins see his title butchered. Unfortunately Madden & FIFA are matches which are review-immune because of combination of licensing / casual market reach. I get the feeling Avengers will also fall into this category. The NFL & FIFA respectively do not require enough flak with this. They have to see that their audience isn’t happy but do not switch to non-exclusive licensing anyhow. Past year’s I stopped enjoying a month in I had the EA ace left until yesterday I did not reup.
